pöder pão – Lifebuoy – Global Handwashing Day Campaign

For Global Handwashing Day, Lifebuoy launched an integrated campaign centered around the powerful and heartwarming short film “Pöder Pão” – a story that highlights the life-changing impact of hand hygiene through the lens of a child’s imagination and cultural connection. The film was translated into multiple regional and global languages, making the message of hygiene accessible and relatable to diverse audiences across the world.
 

The campaign extended beyond the screen with on-ground activations in schools and communities. These included engaging interactive games, custom-designed board games, and role-playing activities that taught children the importance of handwashing in a fun, memorable way. To reach digital-first audiences, Lifebuoy also introduced online games that reinforced hygiene habits through play-based learning.
 

By combining emotional storytelling, localized content, and interactive experiences, Lifebuoy’s Global Handwashing Day campaign inspired millions to adopt better hygiene practices—cementing its role as a global leader in health education and behavior change.
